This Marc Jacobs medium tote is my favorite new workhorse bag. It is made of solid woven jacquard (kind of like a sturdy canvas), and can fit just about anything. Sometimes I use the handles as shown in the photo, and sometimes I attach the shoulder strap to make it a crossbody, which is also quite sturdy.

I have used it to carry my laptop to work along with my other work necessities. I have used it to collect produce at the Farmer’s Market. I have used it as a purse while shopping. I have used it to carry my daughter’s ballet stuff. I have used it for many of these things all at once! Sometimes I leave it in my trunk for whatever comes up. The reason I call it a workhorse is because it can really be used for anything, and comfortably so. At 13in x 6in x 11in, it’s the perfect size for whatever you need.
